CHC SCOTIA MEMBERS AT NORTH DENES VOTE IN FAVOUR OF A NEW LIFE STYLE ROSTER

BALPA members employed by CHC Scotia mainline at their North Denes base have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a new life style roster which will give them seven more days off than is now the case.

Mick Brade, Principal Negotiator, responsible for our CHC Scotia mainline membership said “This is not only good news for North Denes members but it is a good news story for all helicopter members employed in the Southern North Sea sector. We are trying to negotiate something similar for our Norwich based members.” Mick went on to say, “This brilliant result comes after about 18 months of negotiation with the company and I would like to thank our two North Denes based lay reps who have always believed that life style rosters for non Aberdeen pilots were reasonable.”

The new roster which will see pilots working 189 days per year will now be put in place as soon as possible.

Mick concluded by saying:

“This lay’s to rest a dispute which has rumbled on and on for well over a year; it also sets the scene for us to kick on and negotiate similar deals elsewhere.”

The ballot result is as follows:-
