CHC UK SAR GIVE GREEN LIGHT FOR COMPANY COUNCIL

Following the membership ballot that gave a green light to set up a stand alone UK Search and Rescue (UK SAR) Company Council, Mick Brade, Principal Negotiator speaking following the closure of nominations said that he was 'delighted to announce that all four seats on the brand new Company Council had now been filled and that we have also been able to secure the services of an additional member to help set up and run a UK SAR area of the BALPA web site.'

Mick also told members that he would be convening a meeting of the Company Council as a matter of urgency in order for the CC to elect their own Chairman, Vice Chairman and deal with the allocation of other responsibilities.

Once this has been done, Mick confirmed that the new CC would be ideally positioned to progress a massive and highly important agenda with the Senior Management Team of UK SAR.

The agenda will include negotiating items such as:-

• Recognition Agreement
• Aircrew Service Agreement
• Permanent Rosters

Not forgetting that the pilots will be due a pay rise from 1st September 2008.
